Founded 30 years ago as a social enterprise for the DoiTung region in northern Thailand the project has brought about a complete transformation of 29 mountain villages in Chiang Rai province, which until then had mainly one source of income: opium production and trade ⚗️

Located in the centre of the notorious Golden Triangle, DoiTung is still under Royal patronage and to this day makes an important contribution to economic and social development work opening up new perspectives for the region based on five pillars: food processing, coffee, tourism and agriculture 👩‍🌾

Today, the younger generation of the DoiTung community in particular is well on its way to achieving these goals: contemporary handicraft products are being developed together with urban designers 👨🏼‍💻
Ceramic objects, paper made from mulberry bark or hand-woven fabrics are conquering the national and international market 🥳
